The stadium is one of the two regular incomes, next to sponsors. In home matches — league, cup and international — you receive stadium income. Friendlies split that income 50/50 with the opponent.
You start with 12,000 standing places. The maximum total capacity is 120,000, counting standing, covered standing, seats and covered seats together. From version 1.8.12, once you are at that 120,000 cap you can demolish standing or seating in blocks of 1,000 to make room for a different section. Demolition has its own cost and duration. The newspaper and the progress line call it “Demolish” in your language. The cap does not rise above 120,000.
Adding capacity, and improving arena condition, comfort, floodlights and the scoreboard, takes weeks and eats into the budget. Running jobs are listed under constructions. More seats only help if people attend. A half-empty bowl with high prices can earn less than a smaller ground with cheaper tickets.
Four categories: standing, covered standing, seats, covered seats. Higher prices earn more per spectator and usually cut occupancy. The “possible income” figure is the full house, not a promise. Price for the opponent you actually host.
On a free matchday, an away friendly at a large stadium can pay a small club well, because you take half of their gate. At home, invite a first-division side that is high in the table. The competition rules are on competitions.
Build early and on purpose, after you know the weekly wage from finances, and after the sponsor slots on sponsors are filled. A ground that never grows misses income every home week. A ground that grows before the wage bill is known is how clubs reach −3,000,000. Construction and demolition both spend budget that your wages also need on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Comfort projects and a training camp can land in the same month. Do one, look at the forecast, then do the other. Both are paid from the club account.
